Research Interests:

Errors in chromosome transmission significantly impact human health.  My group studies two fundamental aspects of eukaryotic chromosome biology:  how newly-replicated sister chromatids are "glued" from S phase until anaphase, and even more mysteriously, how delicate strands of chromatin are packaged into mitotic chromosomes--the iconic units of genome transmission.
