Research:
Histones and the inheritance of epigenetic information.
Education:
Postdoctoral Fellow: HHMI, New York University School of Medicine
Ph.D.: University of British Columbia
B.Sc. (Hon): University of Ottawa
Fields of Interest:
- Functional Genomics & Proteomics
- Cellular & Molecular Structure & Function
Research Interests:
My laboratory focuses on histones and their role in epigenetic inheritance. Histones organize DNA by forming nucleosomes. They influence chromatin structures and gene expression. We aim to understand how epigenetic information found on histones is transmitted through cell division, and how the process goes awry in a number of cancers.
