Clare Gibbons received a Master of Science degree in Genetic Counseling from Sarah Lawrence College in 1996, following which she joined the Genetics Program at North York General Hospital in Toronto. In 1999, she obtained Canadian and American Board certification in genetic counselling. She has served as Central representative, Local Organizing Committee Co-chair, and President (2 terms) of the Canadian Board of Genetic Counsellors. She currently works in a general genetics clinic seeing a wide variety of patients and is a member of the Multidisciplinary Huntington Disease Clinic. She is actively involved in a number Huntington disease related research projects including clinical trials for Huntington disease treatments and a large international observational study. She has previously served on the North York General Ethics Board and has developed an interest in research ethics. Clare is a member of CAGC and ABGC.
