MMG 1122Y Issues in Genetic Counseling I

Description: This course will provide comprehensive information regarding: 1) all modalities of prenatal testing, psychological processes of both decision-making and course of action with respect to test results, and 2) ethical principles involved in genetic counselling. Ample opportunities will be provided for student presentations of cases which are illustrative of issues discussed in class as well as patient presentations (to both 1st and 2nd year students). (Time: 1 session, 2 hours per week).
