MMG 1222Y Issues in Genetic Counseling II

Description: This course will provide a framework for exploration of the following issues related to the field of clinical genetics and genetic counselling: legal and ethical issues, sociocultural and religious issues, population screening programs, and the implications of the Human Genome Project. A workshop on the development of professional skills will be provided in anticipation of seeking and gaining employment, maintaining professional status, and balancing career with outside activities. (Time: 1 session, 2 hours per week).
