This course will be an introduction to corporate development in life sciences. The goal of these lectures is for the students to familiarize themselves and understand the fundamental basics of what it takes to start, grow and sell a business in the life sciences space. The lectures will be focused on the following topics:
Lecture 1 & 2: Research Collaboration, Technology Transfer, Intellectual Property
Lecture 3 & 4: Corporate Finance, Non-Dilutive Funding, Strategic Financing
Lecture 4 & 5: Business Plan, Co-Developments Agreement, Merger and Acquisitions.
Students will be graded on participation and on a written business proposal
Note: This is a co-curricular topic and cannot be used for credit.
