Information Sessions for Prospective Students
Genetics Counselling MSc Program at the Department of Molecular Genetics
The University of Toronto’s MSc Program in Genetic Counselling will host various sessions throughout the year geared towards those interested in learning more about the profession and/or the University of Toronto (U of T) program.
We are pleased to hold the 2025 University of Toronto Virtual MSc Program in Genetic Counselling’s Information Day on Friday October 24, 2025 from 2:00 pm-4:20 pm EST with break out rooms to meet our current students from 4:20-4:50 pm. This event is free to attend; however, you need to register. Please download the poster below for information and the link to register.
Office Hours with Program Leadership
A member of the program leadership team will be available for virtual “office hours” once a month from 4:00pm – 5:00pm EST. This is an opportunity to bring questions regarding the U of T program and the application process. Please note: we will not review application material. These sessions are open to all. Please see dates and link below to join.

Monday Dec 15 - this will be the last drop in to answer any application related questions before the Application Close date of Tuesday January 6, 2026, 11:59 pm EST. Please note that the university will be closed for Winter Holidays from December 24, 2025 to January 2, 2026 inclusive. We strongly encourage applicants to submit their applications well in advance of the January 6, 2026 deadline as we will be unable to respond to questions during the Winter Holidays closure.

Join us for drop-in sessions with U of T alumni
University of Toronto Genetic Counselling Program alumni will be available for an informal virtual drop-in discussion on the second Thursday of every month from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm EST. This is an opportunity to ask questions about the U of T program and hear the perspective of former students. Please note that we will not review application material or answer questions about the interview process. These sessions are open to all. Please see the dates and link below to join.
